In addition to being a long-standing insurer for teachers, French ICMIF member MAIF also offers students completely free, personalised educational support solutions. This educational support is offered via the “Assistance scolaire personnalisée” (personalised school help) digital platform that brings together a set of educational resources produced by teachers (course sheets, interactive exercises, methodologies, corrected subjects), to accompany children from when they join the French education system at the youngest age through to their final year of secondary school.

The key benefits of the platform are:

  • Educational solutions designed with the guidance of teachers, for primary and secondary students, accessible free of charge.
  • A dedicated course for parents and teachers to monitor learning.
  • Resources now available for year-round revision and tutoring.

This platform is aimed at parents and their children to help them review their subjects and reinforce their achievements, but also to help teachers who may have access to this content for tutoring or homework help. An integrated monitoring tool allows teachers to organise working groups, monitor student progress or carry out personalised assessments, both in class and at home. The pages of the platform are consulted by over 2.5 million visitors per year, according to MAIF.

Offered to all, this educational solution was developed by MAIF in partnership with educational publishing house rue des écoles. The platform requires a simple registration to then access all content. It is available on all devices, including smartphones and tablets, and can be consulted everywhere.

Adapted modules are also offered for the learning of students with disabilities and are compatible with navigation equipment adapted to their disability (screen magnifiers, Braille generators, voice commands, etc.).

Yves Pellicier, Chairman of the MAIF Group said: “As a former teacher, I realise how valuable it is to accompany students and their parents. Our historical role as insurer of teachers obliges us to do this. We are proud to take concrete action to promote education for all, without exception, and to help students assimilate, revise and deepen the concepts seen in class.”

For member-only strategic content on the cooperative/mutual insurance sector, ICMIF members have exclusive access to a range of online resources through the ICMIF Knowledge Hub.
