Grupo San Cristobal No Soy Neutral

Grupo San Cristóbal (Argentina) has been recognised at the Persona Awards (Premios Persona) in the category of Best practice in internal communication in sustainability.

These awards recognise human resources practices that generate positive effects on well-being and productivity for organisations and their employees. The awards are given to companies that demonstrate having put effective internal communication activities in place which relate to sustainable management, commitment to the environment and/or social actions of organisations that seek to raise awareness amongst and engage employees on key issues.

#NoSoyNeutral campaign

Grupo San Cristóbal was recognised for its #NoSoyNeutral (I am not neutral) campaign which took place across the organisation in March 2023. The campaign involved internal collaborators at the organisation who were tasked with asking staff about their experiences and how they felt about situations that women are exposed to in the workplace on a daily basis. This involved team members talking to staff directly in the insurer’s offices in the cities of Buenos Aires, Rosario, Mendoza, Córdoba and Santa Fe, where 80% of the team is based, and asking questions in virtual format in the offices in the rest of the country.

Some of the results from the survey show that Grupo San Cristóbal is perceived by its staff as being committed to promoting the necessary changes that break down barriers and allow for equal conditions regardless of gender:

  • 70% of participants rated the campaign as Excellent and Very Good.
  • 81% felt that Grupo San Cristóbal is an inclusive and respectful place.
  • 90% agreed with the issues addressed across the organisation.

Exequiel Arangio, Head of Communications and Sustainability at Grupo San Cristóbal said: “We are very happy and grateful for this recognition. At Grupo San Cristóbal we work to build an organization that is connected to people, integrated, understanding of reality, and both diverse and inclusive. This communication campaign that we developed with our collaborators was requested by the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. It presented us with a great challenge and we achieved very good results. Many thanks to the organisers and the jury for highlighting our work.”

Commitment to diversity

In 2020, Grupo San Cristóbal formalised its commitment to diversity and inclusion by adhering to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), promoted by UN Women. The cooperative insurer says this distinction signifies another step on the company’s path taken to be a socially responsible and inclusive company with its stakeholders.
