ICMIF Centenary Conference 2022
With its authentic, purpose-driven operating model, the cooperative/mutual insurance sector is uniquely positioned to take a lead in creating a practical path towards inclusive resilience, which requires a sharper focus on prevention to complement traditional protection solutions. Through its collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), ICMIF is launching a new benchmarking tool to help member organisations measure themselves against seven mechanisms that set the standards for resilience initiatives and prevention activities that drive greater resilience. This industry-leading ICMIF Resiliency Benchmark could become the global standard for the entire insurance industry. The session includes practical examples of new technological innovations and prevention solutions that help to implement the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.
