Earlier this month, on World Environment Day, Canadian ICMIF member Beneva unveiled a new video highlighting its impact statement on sustainability to the public.

What is Beneva’s commitment?

Beneva said it wants to invest in global wellness while accelerating a just transition towards a greener, more inclusive and resilient world.

The mutual insurer says this stance means it will:

• Pursue and continue its efforts in physical, mental and financial health
• Pursue its efforts to reduce its ecological footprint to reach its net-zero emission targets in 2040 and 2050
• Take concrete actions in equity, diversity and inclusion to build an open-minded society that values co-existence
• Contribute to making communities more resilient

Involve employees, members, clients and partners to achieve this goal

Speaking about how Beneva would achieve this goal, Jean-François Chalifoux, President and Chief Executive Officer said: “The contribution of our employees, members, clients and partners is a must if we want our process to succeed.
