Swedish ICMIF member Folksam has once again been recognised as the best in the finance and insurance industry in Sweden for equal working conditions. This was confirmed by Nyckeltalsinstitutet AB‘s Gender Equality Index (Jämix) which was presented in the last few days.
The Jämix index measures gender equality among employers based on nine key measures and Folksam ranked well above the average for the total for all companies in the finance and insurance industry. In the past five years, Folksam has been ranked the best in the industry three times.
“It’s great that we once again receive this recognition,” said Pernilla Glad, SVP and Director People and Places, Folksam. She continued: “This is proof that the work we do for gender equality is paying off. The Jämix measurement is an important tool for following up our work. Since we started measuring this in 2015, we have seen a clear upward trend and we have had very good and stable results.”
The Nyckeltalsinstitutet AB Key Performance Indicators Institute survey is based on statistics collected from 2022 on more than 660,000 employees’ actual working conditions in approximately 350 companies and organisations. The Jämix gender equality index is based on various factors of equal working conditions for men and women – such as salary, management team, parenthood, part-time and fixed-term employment.
