An interview with ICMIF’s CEO Designate Liz Green took the front cover of the September issue of AM Best’s monthly insurance magazine, Best’s Review. This month’s issue, with a focus on mutual insurance, speaks with mutual insurance leaders ahead of industry events. Mutual and cooperative insurers had about 26% of the world’s insurance market, representing about USD 1.41 trillion in premium income in 2022, according to ICMIF’s Global Mutual Market Share research.
In her interview, Liz discusses the state of the global mutual sector and the different opportunities for mutuals in the future. She anticipates the additional growth of insurers owned by policyholders amid an improving regulatory landscape and innovative approaches in emerging markets. Liz will formally take over as CEO of ICMIF in November 2024.
