UK-based ICMIF member NFU Mutual and The Tourism Network, a hospitality advice service, have announced a new partnership.
In a joint press release, the two organisations say they believe that the UK-wide affiliation will enable The Tourism Network to bring a greater level of specialist advice to its members and to NFU Mutual’s customers in the tourism and hospitality sectors, through the availability of forums, events and direct guidance.
NFU Mutual’s collaboration and funding will specifically enable The Tourism Network to increase its online services, widen the availability of support for the tourism and hospitality sector and enrich its member community.
Susan Briggs created The Tourism Network almost 30 years ago, which has since helped over 8,000 businesses attract more visitors and increase their profits. Working directly with individual businesses and destinations, The Tourism Network provides practical support and a national online community where like-minded businesses can share ideas and discuss triumphs and challenges.
Darren Seward, Hospitality Sector Specialist at NFU Mutual, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with The Tourism Network. By combining our two sets of specialist knowledge and networking platforms, we can help NFU Mutual customers across the UK to make the best decisions for their businesses. The specialist resources, insights and relationship building opportunities The Tourism Network can provide for our customers will be invaluable.”
Susan Briggs, Director and Founder of The Tourism Network, said: “I’m really excited to be partnering with NFU Mutual. As organisations, we each champion relationship building and the importance of sharing advice, guidance and expertise to put businesses on the front foot. Thanks to NFU Mutual’s financial support, there will be a major increase in the online services the network provides, and I look forward to sharing these with NFU Mutual clients. The new collaborative way of working will widen the availability of support for the tourism and hospitality sector and enable both The Tourism Network and NFU Mutual to connect with the businesses we want to help.”
