US ICMIF member EMC Insurance has been recognised as a leading national and regional insurance company through a number of recent awards and accolades. The awards acknowledge EMC’s performance as a property/casualty insurer, ease of business and commitment to independent agents, and as top workplaces for employees.
Most recently, EMC was named the “Best Property/Casualty Insurance Company” in Central Iowa by the Business Record in its annual “Best of Des Moines” survey. Business Record readers voted in an online open-ended survey with more than 70 categories to determine the best businesses, people and organisations in Des Moines.
EMC received this “Best of Des Moines” award for the fourth year in a row, and the fifth time in six years. The company finished as a runner-up in both 2016 and 2014.
“EMC is thrilled to again be voted Best Property/Casualty Insurer,” said Scott Jean, EMC President & CEO. “Insurance is a relationship business, and we are glad Business Record readers know they can count on EMC to be there when needed.”
EMC was also recently awarded the DCC Elite™ certification by Deep Customer Connections. Awarded to only five property/casualty insurance carriers nationally, the honour represents exceptional performance in, and commitment to, ease of business as experienced by independent agents.
“EMC places great value and importance on our relationships with our independent agent partners,” said Scott Jean. “To be recognised for our agent experience efforts and ease of business is very reaffirming and rewarding. We look forward to continuing to innovate to better serve our independent agent force.”
Finally, EMC’s corporate headquarters and local branch offices have been recognised as leading workplaces:
- EMC received a “Top Workplaces 2020” honour from the The Des Moines Register for a seventh time.
- The EMC Insurance Companies Bismarck Branch was recognised of as one of this year’s “50 Best Places to Work” by Prairie Business magazine
- EMC Insurance Companies Providence, Rhode Island, Branch was named one of the “2020 Best Places to Work” by Providence Business News, for the third year in a row.
Scott Jean commented “The incredible teams here at our corporate headquarters and our local branch office show up each day ready to contribute to the positive and collaborative culture we have built, and I am so proud to work alongside them.”
Empowering team members to achieve their finest is one of the things EMC does best and why the mutual insurer consistently achieves top workplace status.
