For people who care for relatives, German ICMIF member R+V Versicherung offers a digital Care Advisor with a variety of different, useful information and advice for users. Now R+V says it has expanded the free tool with new useful features.
The digital R+V Care Advisor offers comprehensive information and practical help on the subject of care. The great advantage of the tool is that the intuitive advice is tailored to the personal situation of the caregiver or person in need of care, to whom the Advisor offers tailor-made solutions. In addition, anyone who wishes or needs to use the tool can do so free of charge, they do not have to be an R+V customer.
New: Calculate care gap, help with appeals and order care aids
A new service of the Care Advisor is the Care Gap Calculator. This determines the financial need after deduction of state benefits and one’s own provision for the family caregivers. Also new is the free legal guide, which helps with appeals against the care level classification. R+V’s partner organisation Pflegewächter brings legal advice into the care platform.
In addition, there is now a cooperation with proSenio, a leading provider of care aids in Germany, as part of the R+V tool. Here, care aids for use in the home, worth EUR 40, can be ordered free of charge per month via the R+V Care Advisor. The new partner services also include technical assistance for dementia patients, intelligent alarm systems and a solution for more social participation for people without previous digital experience.
“Due to the sharp increase in the number of people in need of care, care is an important social issue. However, many families feel insufficiently informed. That’s why we want to use our Care Advisor to make everyday life easier for those people who have taken on the responsibility for caring for a relative and to support them organisationally, emotionally and health-wise,” emphasises Jennifer Schenke, Head of the R+V Competence Centre Health & Care.
The special focus of the R+V Care Advisor on people’s personal situation is the main difference to many other online counselling services. “While those affected often only receive general information there, the digital Care Advisor from R+V regularly asks questions about personal circumstances and interests and then provides information and assistance that is appropriate to the situation,” explains Schenke. “These innovations underline R+V Versicherung’s commitment to its cooperative values and its promise: You are not alone.”
