Belgian cooperative P&V has been voted best motorcycle insurance provider in the country; it was awarded the trophy for the best car legal protection for the eighth consecutive time; and the trophy for innovation of the year for its new bicycle insurance cover. These accolades for P&V’s products came in the form of DECAVI’s Insurance Trophies which give public recognition to the most successful players in the Belgian market.
The independent jury awarded ICMIF member P&V the first prize for motorbike insurance, in which P&V combines comprehensive coverage that can be tailored to the motorcycle and the biker’s lifestyle, and clear guarantees to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises. It is available in three different packages, and extra protection for the rider and legal protection can be added on.
P&V’s Arces brand won the prize for best car legal protection for the eighth consecutive year thanks to its unique formula which guarantees to match the offer of any other insurer on the Belgian market.
Finally, the company also won the innovation prize, thanks to its new bicycle insurance product; it offers flexible, on-demand cover and claims are reported entirely online for convenience. This is a brand-new product which has just been launched in the Belgian market by the P&V Group, it is insurance on demand and is easy for policyholders to continue or stop. The cover benefits from the flexibility of a subscription billed each month via the customer’s credit card which he/she can stop at any time.
Starting at just EUR 8 per month, this insurance offers the insured and his/her direct family a basic package that always includes theft, material damage and assistance cover. Both bicycles and soft mobility equipment are covered and Arces’ bodily injury and legal protection cover can be added on.
P&V has also just formed two partnerships to develop prevention services for its members: one with Hexlox, which specialises in anti-theft solutions for bicycles, and the other with Proviz, a manufacturer of high-visibility clothing.
P&V Group is promoting active mobility in Belgium by donating funds to two cycling associations every time a customer makes no claims for a year.
David Destappes, Business Development Director at P&V said: “With this offer, we wanted to adapt to the new consumption patterns of our customers and offer unique bike insurance on the Belgian market. A 100% digital formula in the form of a subscription, including a commitment to prevention and safety on the one hand, and the promotion of active mobility on the other.”
